Welcome to Albion Online! If you’re just starting out or find yourself completely broke in a Royal City, don't worry! The journey from zero to "lethal zone ready" is shorter than you think. In this guide, we’re going to cover a foolproof method to scrape together your first few thousand silver and then transition into the high-risk, high-reward world of the Black Zones. Whether you're a fresh spawn or a returning player looking for a quick recovery, here is your roadmap to wealth.
Gathering
If you are starting with exactly zero silver or simply want a risk-free way to build a foundation, gathering basic resources is your best bet. This method requires no tools, no combat, and can be done in the complete safety of the Royal Cities. By focusing on high-turnover items like Rough Stone, you can quickly generate enough capital to buy your first set without paying penny. It is the most reliable "zero-investment" start available to any new player.
- If you're not in Martlock City, go to your closest royal city and store your gears in the Bank
- Drag your gears into the bank. Or press
Shift + Click
- Go to Travel Planner (yellow compass icon)
- Set your destination to Martlock and press Buy Journey button
- Run around the city and collect Rough Stone
- This is what I got after collecting rough stone for about 10 minutes
- Go to Marketplace to sell your stones
- Now you have decent amount of money to start venturing on lethal zone!
Black Zone
If you have a tiny bit of silver to spare, just enough for a basic set of gear, you can skip the manual labor and head straight for the big payouts. This method involves entering the Black Zones (Outlands) to hunt wandering mobs. While these areas are "lethal" and allow other players to kill you, the silver drops from enemies here are significantly higher than anywhere in the safe zones. With a cheap build and the right use of invisibility mechanics, you can turn a minimal investment into a massive profit in a single run.
- First, buy a Carrot Soup, Boardsword, Mercenary Jacket, any Helmet, and any Boots
- After you got everything equipped and setup, go to Conqueror's Hall for access to the Black Zone. It is available on each Royal City
- After you entered the portal for the first time you'll be able to enter this area again via Travel Planner
- Go ahead and eat your food
- Now to really enter the Lethal Black Zone, go to one of the gates and drink the water besides the gate. This will give you invisibility buff for few minutes.
- After you got the buff, go through the gate into the Outlands
- Now you're officially in the Black Zone and everyone can kill you here :)
But thanks to invisibility buff you got from the fountain you can go away from the gate quickly without being seen by others. Note that you can see total players in the current map on the bottom-right, besides the map name. If you think it's too uncomfortable for you, try to look maps with 0-5 players in it. You can just go back and enter the other gates - Start exploring and find wandering mobs, away from the gate and roads! Here I found a mob, but I still have the invisibility buff, so I can't attack it yet. You can either wait for it to run out or click Logout on the menu or gather anything to remove the buff
- Now find more wandering mobs and kill them for the juicy silvers :D
- After you are done with the hunt, you can go back to the gate you're coming from or simply type
/die
in chat. Note that you'll lose all your loot and gears if you died in Lethal Zone! However you will not lose any silver
Whether you prefer the steady, safe grind of gathering in the cities or the high-stakes thrill of hunting in the Black Zone, both of these methods prove that you don't need a massive bankroll to make progress in Albion Online. By starting with these low-investment strategies, you can quickly build the capital needed to fund better gear.
The most important thing is to keep moving, pick up those stones, dodge those gankers, and start building your fortune. Good luck out there, and may your silver bags always be heavy!
